"Mattias" is the first full release by Svetla V. following her appearance on Allies/Rivals compilation released on Perfect Aesthetics. Russian born, currently based in Norway, Svetla V. tends to a special brand of Scandinavian synth melancholy over 9 songs in just under 40 minutes. Concept of the record inspired by the book "Buzz Aldrin, What Happened to You in All the Confusion?" written by Johan Harstad. Its main character, Mattias, who wants to hide himself from everybody among other things, is the one she is singing about. She combined her musical influences with her true passion in electronic and dance music to get this pure haze synth pop album with the mellow vocals and these puffy, lethargic drums.
